Our 3D printing filament is crafted with ultra-consistent diameter tolerance (±0.05 mm or better) and exceptional roundness to ensure smooth extrusion. That means fewer clogs, less stringing, and improved layer adhesion for your prints.
Whether you’re running a small desktop printer or an industrial setup, our filament is tested for compatibility across all major printer brands—Creality, Prusa, Bambu Lab, Flashforge, Ultimaker, and more.

Every spool of Filamatrix
3D printing filament undergoes a multi-stage quality-control process. We continuously measure filament diameter using laser scanning to ensure smooth, consistent feeding through your printer.
The result:
perfect layer adhesion, minimal oozing, and professional-grade print finishes.
Our colors are formulated using precision color-matching systems for repeatable, batch-to-batch consistency. When you reorder the same shade, you get the exact same color every time.

Filamatrix isn’t a new name in plastics. We draw from more than 50 years of experience in polymer engineering through Universal Fibers, a pioneer in colorants and engineered thermoplastics.
That heritage gives us a deep understanding of how materials behave, how colorants interact, and how to create filament that maintains stability, strength, and vibrant color even under intense printing conditions.
Our customers know the difference between imported, mass-produced filament and the precision-made American filament that Filamatrix delivers.

No matter your level of experience or the nature of your project, Filamatrix has a filament to match:
Get smooth prints with fewer adjustments and high visual quality.
Rely on easy-to-use, eco-friendly filaments ideal for classroom settings.
Rapidly prototype and test fit/function models with technical accuracy.
Scale up production with bulk filament spools and dependable supply.
Keep your filament in a sealed bag with desiccant to prevent moisture absorption.
Check the specific material’s recommended temperature range on the spool label or our website. PLA typically prints between 190–220 °C, PETG between 230–250 °C, and Nylon around 250–270 °C.
Use a heated bed or adhesion surface suited to your material—glass, PEI, or BuildTak sheets all work well.
Adjust part-cooling fans according to filament type. PLA benefits from full cooling, while PETG and Nylon prefer limited airflow to prevent cracking.
We have filament for large-scale operations and production environments
Large spools (5 lb and 10 lb) for continuous printing.
Consistent bulk ordering options for manufacturers and universities.
Our PLA filament is derived from renewable resources like corn starch, making it one of the most environmentally friendly materials for 3D printing.
We are committed to reducing plastic waste and optimizing manufacturing efficiency to minimize environmental impact—without compromising performance or color quality.

3D printing filament is the thermoplastic material that’s melted and extruded layer-by-layer through a printer’s nozzle to form 3D objects. Filamatrix filaments are precisely manufactured to ensure smooth, consistent extrusion and superior results.
PLA filament is ideal for beginners because it prints easily, doesn’t require a heated bed, and has minimal odor. It’s perfect for decorative items, prototypes, and educational projects.
Unlike many overseas manufacturers, Filamatrix produces all filament in the USA, using quality polymer resins, precision extrusion equipment, and real-time quality monitoring for unbeatable consistency and color control.
Yes! Filamatrix provides large-spool, bulk-order, and custom color services for schools, businesses, and high-volume users. Contact our sales team for quotes and specifications.
Keep it sealed in its original packaging with a desiccant packet to avoid moisture absorption. Moisture can cause popping sounds during extrusion or stringy prints.
Our filament works with nearly every FDM 3D printer, including Prusa, Creality, Bambu Lab, Anycubic, Flashforge, and MakerBot.
We ship across the United States, including Alaska and Hawaii, and can accommodate orders upon request.
